WHERE THERE IS ACTION, THERE IS GLORY AT TABCORP PARK

This year’s Summer of Glory Racing Carnival will culminate with racing fans and families descending on Tabcorp Park  tonight, with support from the Andrews Labor Government.

Minister for Racing Martin Pakula today announced the Labor Government is allocating more than $33,000 from the Victorian Racing Industry Fund – Raceday Attraction Program for the Summer of Glory series building to the A.G. Hunter Cup on Saturday night.

Tabcorp Park Melton is investing more than $80,000 for the event and Harness Racing Victoria is contributing $36,500.

The club is rolling out the red carpet with a bounty of activities to entertain and delight both the avid race fan and happy observer. From live music by solo artists and a DJ spinning tracks on the lawn, to stilt walkers and magicians, and prizes and giveaways.

For those who cannot make it to Tabcorp Park Melton tonight, the event will be broadcast live on Racing.com free-to-air TV channels (Ch78, and Ch68 regional).

The world-class coverage will feature all the action from the night, including the Group 1 Del-Re National A.G. Hunter Cup, the Group 1 Alabar Bloodstock Ladyship Mile and the Group 1 DNR Logistics 4YO Bonanza

Since December 2014, the Victorian Government has approved more than $1,340,000 to support race meetings and racing infrastructure projects at Tabcorp Park Melton.

The harness racing industry in outer Melbourne generates $187.6 million for the Victorian economy and helps sustain over 1,500 full-time-equivalent jobs locally.
