Member for Melton Steve McGhie today announced Balmain & Co Pty Ltd has been appointed to build the Melton Secondary College $4.46 million upgrade, which will help it deliver a 21st century education.

The upgrade will see the Andrews Labor Government deliver a brand-new sports pavilion.

The Victorian Budget 2022/23 invests $1.8 billion to build new schools and improve existing schools to make sure our kids have the bright futures they deserve.

In the past eight years, the Victorian Government has invested $12.8 billion in building new schools and more than 1,850 school upgrades, creating around 17,400 jobs in construction and associated industries. The Victorian Government is ahead of schedule in its commitment to deliver 100 new schools between 2019 and 2026, with 75 new schools opening between 2019 and 2024.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
