The Victorian Government is helping to foster community connections in Strathtulloh, with a major investment supporting the second stage of the Bridge Road Community Hub.
Member for Melton, Steve McGhie visited Strathtulloh to celebrate the beginning of construction on Stage Two the new community hub, jointly funded by the Victorian Government and the City of Melton.
The Victorian Government contributed $800,000 through the Growing Suburbs Fund.
The second stage of the project will deliver active recreation facilities to support the rapidly growing community and complete the shared path network through the precinct, improving connectivity with the Toolern Regional Park.
The project includes a shared path network that will link the Bridge Road Community Hub to the Toolern Regional Park and surrounding residential areas, a range of sporting facilities, a new community pavilion, landscaping and improved public amenity.
The Growing Suburbs Fund represents a $440 million Victorian Government investment over 10 years to provide important local infrastructure.
Since its establishment in 2015, the program has supported 360 projects, representing a total infrastructure investment of $1.3 billion, and has created more than 11,340 jobs.
