Bridge Road (Melton) Primary School (interim name) will cater to the diverse needs of all students and will support the needs of the growing population so students can attend a local primary school.
The state-of-the-art school is being built to accommodate 525 students from Prep to Year 6. The school will include space for students to be active, natural outdoor areas that reflect the surrounding environment and modern learning facilities that support diverse curriculums.

The school will feature a library and learning neighbourhoods, as well as dedicated areas for art, food and science, performing arts and physical education.
To help students stay active, students will also have access to two outdoor hardcourts, playgrounds, a bike shed and a sports field.
Locals will have an opportunity to indicate their preference for the new school’s name via the Engage Victoria website when consultation opens this month. Following consultation, the final decision on school naming will be made by the Victorian Government.

In the past seven years, the Victorian Government has invested more than $10.9 billion in building new schools and more than 1,700 school upgrades, creating around 13,500 jobs in construction and associated industries.
It is ahead of schedule in its commitment to open 100 new schools by 2026, with 48 new schools opening between 2019 and 2022.
