Victoria's top VCE students have been honoured at the Premier's VCE Awards, celebrating academic and vocational achievement across the state. 

Steve McGhie Member for Melton congratulates both talented students and OneSchool Global Victoria for receiving the awards recently at a special ceremony at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. 

VCE Award recipients in Melton include Zara Lindsay and Alanah Strange from OneSchool Global Victoria in the Business (VCE VET) category.

The awards recognise students achieving high study scores in VCE subjects and those excelling in the VCE Vocational Major (VM). 

The VCE Vocational Major was introduced in 2023 as a vocational and applied learning specialisation within the VCE.  

In 2025, more than 9,700 students completed the VCE VM – up more than 30 per cent since the program began.  

Participation in the VCE VM has helped lift Year 12 completion rates from 91.7 per cent in 2021 to 97.3 per cent in 2025. 

A total of 322 students received 339 awards across 90 subjects – including 305 Study Awards, 23 Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Awards, 8 Outstanding VCE Vocational Major Students and 3 Top International Student Awards. 

The 23 Top All-Round VCE High Achievers achieved study scores of 46 or higher in at least five VCE subjects.
