The revitalisation of Melton is set to continue, thanks to support from the Andrews Labor Government.
Member for Melton Steve McGhie today announced $27,608 in funding from the Suburban Revitalisation Program for the Expansion of the Food Garden and Café project that will improve community wellbeing and prosperity in Melton.
Identified by the Melton Suburban Revitalisation Board, the Expansion of the Food Garden and Café will be delivered by local partners including Djerriwarrh Community and Education Services.

- Monthly workshops on sustainable food growing practices for the community x 7, in partnership with local businesses, as well as the South Sudanese Homework Club Program
- Community Art Project mosaic welcome signage for the food garden in partnership with Djerriwarrh College
- Greenhouse for seed propagation and development of a seed library and shelving
- Site clean for greenhouse foundations
- Installation of above listed equipment.
