NEW COMMUTER PARKING NOW OPEN AT COBBLEBANK STATION

Parking at Cobblebank Station on the Ballarat Line has been increased by 80 spaces, making it easier for the local community to access the station and catch public transport.

The Andrews Labor Government investment is providing welcome benefits that the additional parking to passengers travelling to and from Melbourne’s growing outer western suburbs at the newly completed station.

The new car park, which includes two accessible spaces, was built to the north of the existing car park and features improved lighting, CCTV and is connected via entry and exit points to the original car park.

Civil construction company Ace Infrastructure delivered the car park on behalf of VicTrack, with funding from the Growth Areas Infrastructure Contribution Fund, administered by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP).

The Labor Government has delivered significantly when it comes to station car parks across the state and is also delivering new and upgraded car parking in other areas such as Kyneton, Gisborne, Riddells Creek and Beaufort stations.

Cobblebank Station was constructed in 2019 with 190 car parking spaces. With the new car park now open, there’s a total of 270 spaces available at Cobblebank, further helping to ease congestion in the area by making it easier for people to park their car and catch the train.
