COMMUNITY ROAD SAFETY GRANTS READY TO HIT THE ROAD

The Allan Labor Government is backing Victorian schools, councils and not-for-profit organisations to deliver community road safety initiatives to prevent serious injuries and save lives on our roads.

The successful recipients will make a difference to road safety in their communities and share in almost $2 million funding through two road safety programs – the Community Road Safety Grants and the 2025 TAC Road Safety Grant Program.

The Community Road Safety Grants offer a share in $1.5 million for local communities across the state to deliver targeted road safety education initiatives across Melbourne and regional Victoria with a particular focus on vulnerable road users – including pedestrians, cyclists, children, older people and roadside workers.

One of the initiatives funded is RoadSafe Westgate Community Road Safety Council Inc who will deliver Safer Drivers and Passengers Innovation across Melton.

More than $363,000 from the TAC will deliver projects that improve local community road safety outcomes, including Kidsafe Victoria who will deliver Phase 1 of Kidsafe’s Low Speed Run Over Prevention Strategy through technical workshops, updated safety resources, and a parent-focused education campaign.

“These important grants deliver life-saving messages right across our state, giving schools and community groups the chance to create local solutions to local road safety concerns.”
