A STRONGER HOPE STREET SERVICE FOR MELTON

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will support Hope Street Youth and Family Services to continue its vital work helping young people experiencing homelessness.

We’ll provide an $870,000 grant, helping the service continue its innovative Hope Street First Response Youth Service.

The service includes a purpose-built youth refuge, providing crisis accommodation, and a mobile outreach service, available 365 days a year to support young people and young families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Funding from Labor will ensure Hope Street is well-equipped to continue helping vulnerable young people and young families in our community – ensuring every Victorian gets the support they need, when and where they need it.

It builds on the massive investments in community support already delivered by Labor, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home.

In sharp contrast, when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted. Instead, their policy of cuts and closures would leave locals behind.

Only a re-elected Labor Government will back the organisations that keep our community strong – because only Labor will do what matters.
