Working closely with Dan Andrews before the last election, I have seen firsthand his commitment to paramedics and Ambulance Victoria.
As the secretary of the Ambulance Employee Association, I worked closely with the Labor team to bring an end to the ambulance crisis. When Dan Andrews and Labor won in 2014, savage cuts were replaced with major positive investments across our health system.
The results are clear.
Ambulance response times are down for the most serious call-outs, elective surgery waiting lists are at a record low, rates of vaccination are higher than ever, and the hospital system has been rebuilt.
This includes an important commitment from Labor for funding to fast-track planning for a 24-hour hospital right here in Melton. As Labor’s candidate, and if given the honour of representing our community, I will work hard every day to advocate for this vital project.
I’ll fight to earn your support over the coming weeks so we can keep delivering for the Melton community.
